Rate Adjustment Tutorial

  1. This tutorial will go over the steps necessary to create a rate adjustment in Southern Star's CSI system.
  2. First, log into CSi using your username and password.
  3. Click Contracts, and then click Contract.
  4. Then select the appropriate contract in the drop-down box in Service Request K field.
  5. Then hit Retrieve.
  6. From the search grid, hit Select Next to the contract you have chosen.
  7. Next, click Rate Adjustment.
  8. Now you're ready to enter the specifics of the adjustment.
  9. In the rate begin date, enter start date of request.
  10. in our scenario, we will just choose January 1st, 2020. Then enter a rate end date.
  11. Our adjustment will cover the month of January, so you would need to add an end-date of February 1, Next, select rate adjustment type.
  12. Location to delivery or receipt to deliver.
  13. Hovering over the options gives you a description of each rate-adjustment type We will choose receipt-to-delivery.
  14. The location zone will pre-fill based on the type of contract you select.
  15. Our contract is a market area contract, so market TA is pre filled.
  16. Next, we choose the charge type.
  17. The choices are RES Reservation, ORA Authorized Overrun, and ORC Authorize Over Run Non-Chargable.
  18. We will choose RES as the Charge Type.
  19. A Rate Entry field defaults to Rate Period.
  20. There is also a Quantity Range option if that applies.
  21. The begin and end dates will default to the dates chosen above.
  22. Then, enter the agreed upon adjustment rate.
  23. In this case, it's .05. Next, click the open selector button under the receipt to choose the desired receipt location.
  24. We will choose 999-000-PMI for our example.
  25. In the filter box, you can also search by inputting the desired location name or number.
  26. Click Close Selector.
  27. Follow the same steps for choosing the deliver location.
  28. After all required fields are completed, hit Save.
  29. If there are any missing fields or anything is incorrect, you will receive an error message at this point telling you what fields need to be corrected.
  30. If they are no errors, click submit.
  31. A message will appear letting you know the status has been updated.
  32. By scrolling down to the bottom of the page, you can see the action is now showing submitted rate adjustment.
  33. The request will then follow the normal approval process, similar to electronic contracting until final execution.
  34. If you are not set up for the electronic contract, then you still submit the request.
  35. However, the process will need to be completed manually.
